Scoring a century in T20 cricket is difficult. The innings are short, with each team getting only 120 balls. To reach a hundred runs, a batsman has to score quickly. They have to find the boundaries and take risks. Most batsmen don’t manage to score a century in T20s. Those who do are remembered. But some batsmen don’t just score centuries; they do it in record time. They score runs at a phenomenal pace, scoring off almost every ball. These seven batsmen have scored the fastest centuries in T20 International cricket. Their speed is measured by the number of balls faced. The fewer the balls, the faster the century. These are the records.

Chauhan scored a century in just 27 balls. He achieved this feat on June 17, 2024, while playing for Estonia against Cyprus in Episkopi. This is the fastest century ever scored in T20 International cricket. No one has ever scored a century so quickly.
Twenty-seven balls is extraordinary. In a 120-ball T20 innings, 27 balls is less than a quarter of the total balls. Chauhan had to score approximately four runs per ball. This means a boundary almost every ball. This means no dot balls. This means a perfect performance against the bowling attack.
He was playing for Estonia. Cyprus was bowling. Chauhan attacked from the very beginning. He didn’t let the bowlers settle. He found the gaps. He cleared the boundaries. He ran quickly between the wickets. The field placement didn’t matter. He hit the ball where the fielders weren’t. When they moved, he hit the ball somewhere else.
Cyprus tried different bowlers. They bowled at different lengths. They bowled slower balls and yorkers. Nothing worked. Chauhan kept scoring runs. The century was completed in 27 balls. The record was his. It still is. No one has equaled it. No one has even come close.
Fahad scored his century against Bulgaria in Sofia on July 12, 2025, in just 29 balls. Only Chauhan has scored a faster century in T20 International cricket.
29 balls is incredibly fast. Fahad was playing in Sofia. It wasn’t his home ground. Bulgaria came out to bowl. They had their plans. Fahad didn’t care. He started attacking from the very first ball. He didn’t wait to see what the bowlers would do. He took the game into his own hands.
Boundaries were flowing continuously. He found gaps in the field. When there were no gaps, he hit the ball over the fielders. The ball kept sailing over the boundary rope. Bulgaria tried different bowlers. They set different fields. Nothing worked. Fahad kept scoring runs.
Turkey posted a huge total that day. They won the match easily. But it was Fahad’s innings that made the difference. His century provided the platform. The other batsmen were able to play freely because he had already taken the game out of Bulgaria’s reach.
On February 27, 2024, against Nepal in Kirtipur, Loftie-Eaton completed his century for Namibia in just thirty-three balls. Only Chauhan and Fahad have scored faster centuries.
Thirty-three balls is an incredibly fast pace. He was playing in Kirtipur, Nepal. The ground was Nepal’s home ground. The crowd was against him. The conditions favored the home team. Loftie-Eaton didn’t care about any of that.
He came out to bat and immediately went on the attack. The Nepalese bowlers tried to stop him. They bowled tight lines. They set defensive fields. Yet, Loftie-Eaton found a way. He hit the ball into the gaps. When there were no gaps, he cleared the boundary. Boundaries were being hit almost every over.
The Nepalese bowlers changed their plans. They tried fast bowling. They tried spin. They bowled yorkers and bouncers. Nothing could stop him. Loftie-Eaton kept scoring runs. He kept hitting boundaries. The century came quickly.
That day, Namibia posted a massive score. They won the match comfortably. The reason was Loftie-Eaton’s innings. He gave Namibia a platform that Nepal could never reach. His aggressive batting took the game away early on. Nepal had no answer.
Raza completed his century in 33 balls for Zimbabwe against Gambia in Nairobi on October 23, 2024. He is tied with Loftie-Eaton for third place on the all-time list.
Raza is a renowned all-rounder. He excels at both batting and bowling. He is one of Zimbabwe’s most experienced players, and he showed why against Gambia. He came to the crease and dominated from the start. The Gambian bowlers had no answer for him.
He hit the ball hard. He cleared the boundaries with ease. The ball was flying to all parts of the ground. Gambia set defensive fields. Raza hit over the top of them. He called the fielders in. Raza hit through the gaps. He was unstoppable.
His timing was perfect. His power was immense. He didn’t take many risks. He only hit the bad balls, and he hit them hard. He defended or left the good balls. But most of the balls seemed bad to him because he was seeing the ball so well.
Zimbabwe won easily. Raza’s innings made it easy. The century came in 33 balls. It was one of the great T20 innings. Gambia came to compete. Raza didn’t let them.
Malla achieved this milestone for Nepal on September 27, 2023, against Mongolia in Hangzhou, scoring a century in just 34 balls. This places him fifth on the list of fastest century-makers.
He was playing in Hangzhou during the Asian Games. Mongolia was bowling. They are not a very strong cricketing nation. Malla took advantage of this. But regardless of the opposition, scoring a century in 34 balls is still incredibly fast.
He started scoring runs quickly from the very beginning. He hit boundaries in almost every over. Mongolia tried to slow him down. They couldn’t. Malla was too good. He hit the ball cleanly. He ran quickly between the wickets. He converted singles into doubles. He turned twos into boundaries.
Nepal posted a huge total. Mongolia had no chance of chasing it down. Malla’s innings set the tone. His teammates supported him well. They all scored runs quickly. But it was Malla who led the way. His century in 34 balls was the highlight.
David Miller scored a century off 35 balls for South Africa against Bangladesh in Potchefstroom on October 29, 2017. This is the sixth fastest century in this format of the game.
Miller is known for his power hitting. He is a finisher for South Africa and usually bats in the middle order. Against Bangladesh, he had time to build his innings, and he made good use of it.
He was playing on his home ground in Potchefstroom and knew the conditions well. The Bangladeshi bowlers bowled with disciplined line and length initially, and Miller respected that. But once he was set, he started playing freely, and the boundaries came thick and fast. He hit the ball to all parts of the ground.
Bangladesh had no answer. Their bowlers tried everything, but Miller was too strong. He cleared the boundaries with ease and also found the gaps when needed. South Africa posted a huge total and won the match comfortably. Miller’s innings was the foundation of their victory.
